{"id":2683,"date":"2022-04-08T14:51:55","date_gmt":"2022-04-08T11:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.itep.gr\/event\/delphi-economic-forum\/"},"modified":"2022-09-16T10:55:41","modified_gmt":"2022-09-16T07:55:41","slug":"delphi-economic-forum-en","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.itep.gr\/en\/event\/delphi-economic-forum-en\/","title":{"rendered":"Delphi Economic Forum VII, April 8, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>TOURISM FOR TOMORROW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and Google was announced today at the Delphi Economic Forum regarding the new training program aiming to speed up the green and sustainable transformation of the Greek tourism sector. \u03a4he findings and the considerations of the survey commissioned by Google to the <strong>Research Institute for Tourism (RIT)<\/strong> by the title \u201c<strong>The Importance of Environmental Sustainably in the Hotel Sector<\/strong>\u201d provided the targeted guidelines of this training program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transition of the Greek tourism industry to become more sustainable and environmentally friendly is among the key priorities when dealing with the inevitable effects of the climate crisis. According to the survey commissioned by Google and the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels to the Research Institute for Tourism (RIT), three out of four hotel owners consider the adoption of sustainability practices as key to the future of their business, with 79% expressing interest in acquiring sustainability certification.
