This is the second survey carried out by ITEP on behalf of Google Hellas regarding the sustainability of Greek hotels. The purpose of this research is to investigate the readiness of the Greek hotels for the “green” transformation and to record the needs for information on sustainability issues, in order to design the new Sustainability Education Program.
HOTREC, which is an International Non-Profit Organization and represents the Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes industry at the European level, in collaboration with Professor Ronald Schegg from the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland in Valais, proceeded to carry out research on the possibilities and the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the hotel industry.
The research was piloted in 5 European countries, including Greece. ITEP undertook the implementation of the survey for Greece by sending the single questionnaire to all Greek hotels. For the second consecutive year, RIT carried out research regarding employment in Greek hotels and the shortages observed by specialty.
