This survey examines the energy behavior of hotels and had as its main objective to record the priorities and real needs of the industry in order to design the next day’s financial supporting packages, set by European Union funds for the National Recovery Fund.

The survey presentation contains the data and conclusions that have emerged on the sustainability of Greek hotels at Country level (total). The main sections examined in the survey concerning energy management, water resource management, waste and liquid waste management and hotel certifications regarding sustainability are presented.

FULL SURVEY PRESENTATION
The full presentation of the survey details a true picture of the hotel industry in each of the sections examined, both at Country level (total) and Regional level. In particular, the actions of Greek hoteliers on the management of energy sources, water resources, recycling, certifications they possess, as well as the use of the financial schemes are presented. At the same time, hoteliers’ intentions to invest in the energy upgrading of their units, saving water resources and extending their recycling actions are recorded. Finally, a spatial multivariate analysis is presented.
