Annual Survey of the Greek Hotel Sector 2025
The Annual Survey of the Greek Hotel Sector conducted by RIT is one of the Institute’s key research initiatives for monitoring the development and performance of the Greek hotel industry. The survey provides an overview of the country’s hotel capacity and analyses key operational and financial indicators, including operating periods, occupancy rates, average room rates, bookings, annual turnover and investment.
The analysis is conducted at national level and across key hotel classifications, including geographical region, star rating, size and operating model. The survey also examines issues relating to employment, guests’ countries of origin and booking channels, the multiplier effects of the hotel sector on the Greek economy, as well as the main problems, concerns and challenges faced by Greek hotels.
Through the systematic collection and analysis of data, the Annual Survey provides a comprehensive and evidence-based overview of the structure, operation and economic contribution of the hotel sector, serving as a valuable source of information for tourism stakeholders, public authorities, the business community and researchers.
The English versions of the survey’s Features, Brief and Total Presentations are expected to be uploaded soon.
