The use of Artificial Intelligence in the Operation of Greek Hotels
The Survey on New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence examines the level of digital maturity and technological adaptation of the Greek hotel industry, providing insights into the adoption of modern digital tools and emerging technologies, as well as their practical use by businesses across the sector.
The survey maps existing technological infrastructure and explores the use of information systems and digital applications that support hotel operations, reservation management, sales, distribution, revenue management and decision-making. It also analyses hoteliers’ attitudes towards Artificial Intelligence, the extent to which AI has been integrated into business processes, its main areas of application, and the most significant benefits and barriers identified by hotel businesses.
The survey findings provide a comprehensive overview of the sector’s digital transformation and contribute to the design of policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening innovation, digital skills and the competitiveness of the Greek hotel industry.

RIT members have access to the survey’s Total Presentation. The findings are analysed across all key classifications relevant to the hotel industry, including hotel category, size, region and operating status.
Both parts of the European survey on the digital transformation of the hotel industry are also available. The survey was conducted between January and April 2025, with the participation of hotels from Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy and Switzerland. It follows on from the corresponding European study conducted in 2023, while the data for Greece are drawn from the survey carried out by RIT.
